Profile survey and OP glitches

Hi everyone and a belated Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a fantastic break.

The Annual PROFILE study for Opinionspaid went out last night in large volumes, and this in turn slowed down our server and systems (and in turn helped us identify a future problem which we're looking in to). Due to the large volume of people attempting to complete the survey the website and link did slow right down which is unfortunate, however the site should now be going a bit faster. The link to the PROFILE study is

http://www.opinionspaid.com/op/user/survey.aspx?survey_code=OP_Profile

Please copy and paste this in to your browser.

If you're experiencing speed problems with Opinionspaid when completing the profile study my recomendation would be to exit the link and re-try at a later time (you'll start the survey exactly where you left off).

The PROFILE study is a crucial one as it helps us target you more efficiently and not wasting your valuable time screening you out so please do take the time to complete the survey as accurately as possible.

2010 is going to be a year of change for Opinionspaid as we're looking at turning the Opinionspaid site in a far slicker Social Research Network and looking in to more server and bandwidth space as well as a full re-vamp of the visual components of the site (WATCH THIS SPACE!).

Thanks again for all your support and consideration and keep those responses coming!

Cheers,

Praz (OP)

REALLY slow to change pages. 15 min just for the first section, almost 2 hours for the lot.

Several pages have errors - all been sent in.

pgschmitt: Was this today you tried? The speed has picked up a lot more today and I suspect by tonight we'll be back to normal. Apologies it took so long still...

Thanks for sending the error's in, we'll look in to those and have them rectified.

Cheers,

Praz

It took me 2 hours to do it last night.
What was meant to take 20 mins :)

Hi Merciecalainie, yea our server and bandwidth speed exceeded last night however we've now addressed the issue to ensure it won't happen again moving forward.

Thanks for filling out the profile study, this will really help us nail down and target you specifically for surveys, blogs, forums and chats that you qualify for only.
Cheers,
Praz

Hi Lynlee, apologies it took so long for you to complete. I've flagged this with our Development department, however note speed for the OP website has been restored and is back at normal speed.

Still slow today - took just under an hour, but I guess that is better than the 3 hours that some have had!

Hi, somehow the survey assumes i have a business - i have tried to go back, but cannot get back far enough to check if i have answered something incorrectly. What do you suggest I do? Regards, Taff

Will try again later.

Taff: This is based on a question earlier which asks whether you have a business, you'll need to go back and change it to a NO as you've been profiled as a YES.

We're looking in to the link now and checking the PAGE NOT FOUND message.

I have done my profile survey 2:50pm 25/01/2010, now on the email invite it did say that as long as you complete the profile survey by the 28/01/2010 your in the draw. Although at the start of the survey it stated that the draw was being drawn on the 22/01/2010????

blueace388: Nothing to worry about, a glitch from our end we're looking in to. It shouldn't appear there at all....

the 2 current surveys, 1 available to 10 February and the other available to 28 February, I cannot participate in, because when I go into these they open up to a blank page regardless of how many times I try to go into these. very frustrating.
