The best Ready Meals are your own.
Every time you make a pasta, soup, stew, casserole etc cook double and freeze half. The small pita bread is great to top with the bits and pieces that are left in the fridge by shopping day. I usually have a couple of bits of bacon, 1/2 capsicum, 1/2 tomato, 1/2 onion, bits of cheese etc.Chop all the bits and pieces and top the pita bread, bake in the oven just as you would a pizza. This way you know what is in it, who made it and how it will taste. The only other ready meal I could say I actually like is Sara Lee Meat Lasagne. It tastes home made with none of the plastic, bitter, old after taste that some of the other ones I have tried have. I can't say that I have ever actually eaten a full ready meal, usually a taste is enough to convince me the bin is the best place for it.
