we didn't get it. we didn't qualify because we didn't earn enough! so although we paid tax we didn't pay enough! yes, that's right! hubby rang to see what happened, that was the reply - though if we had earned $80,000 we could have got it. we were flat broke over Christmas.

I bought a LCD HDTV which I never would have been able to afford otherwise & got a great bargain on it too!

My housemate bought a new bed

Both being pensioners, this was much appreciated.Big Smile

i think it's sad that people who really needed the $1000 payment didn't receive it. like me. i earn less than 100 bucks a week and i am unable to receive centrelink payments and didn't receive the $1000 either.

I didn't get any either. Aparently I must have enough already. thanks for nothing Kevin.  Maybe if it hadn't been given to people residing overseas then there may have been enough to give to people who would have spent it on new items therefore stimulating the economy like it was intended.   My tax shouldn't be funding someones overseas lifestyle.

we used it to enjoy xmas and it was very handy ,i didnt consider it a vote grab at least its better than jonny ever did he only put his hand in to take kevin gives to the people, whats the alternative malcom turnbil he would take until there is no more to give but only from the poorer people and workers not his socialite buddies it was good to be considered for a change.yes it put australia in debt but it made a lot of people smile for xmas and get a good meal.

What bonus?  If I had received it I would have spent it and helped out the economy some more!   Come on Kevvy give us ALL some more money.

Yeah! What bonus? If I had  received it, I would have spent it wisely - in Australia. The way the bonus' have been handed out stinks. Some people have received it more than once and they don't deserve it - yet the people like me who really need a hand didn't get a cent. Don't think my vote will go to Kev and his mob!

Yes, it will help drive the low income worker closer to the poverty line with the increase in taxes it will cause for the future.

Good job Kevin, I didn't think the country's debt was big enough either.

Maybe we'll see a rise in GST, and lets wait and see what that gets blamed on(bet it's not their incompetance)

I recieved the bonus and bought a airconditioner for my bedroom. Thought I had suffered enough through heat waves here in W.A. Now I can sleep in comfort every night. Not some thing that I could have bought on my own. Thank you Mr Rudd for my bonus much appreciated.
