I think the link must be faulty. Normally I can view & hear these identification gizmos.

Tried the other link (Unable to view etc) and only a black page loaded.

Exactly the same problem as flyfisher29 and not for the first time. Screen freezes and have experienced same problem before. Don't seem to have this problem with other survey sites.

The video wouldn't even upload that's not fair that i missed out cause their flash player isnt working properly...or that it only works on pcs...if thats the case then why can i view the photos of other surveys?

I could not see the video clip and therefore was screened out.Even clicking the link next to it that said "If you can not see video click here".So I miss out on the chance to do the survey and therefore earn points.I hope that the problem is sorted out and we are given another chance to participate.

We've put the videos in Flash. Since the change occured, only 4 out of 282 have not been able to see the videos.

I don't like the engine used to run these surveys. The very same data could be collected with a far simpler engine that doesn't click and flash around my browser thirty times in between each question.

I think the whole Survey Engine should be simplified back to Netscape 2 protocols plus the necessary AV plug-ins.

Are you using a Mac?

At University the Communications/Media block only had Mac terminals to the Net, and they couldn't even log into the University Server for student-account related activities, hence they sat collecting dust while there was a permanent mule-trail right across campus to the IT building so that we could interact with our accounts on a PC.

No, I'm not a Mac-Hater. I report what occurred at that time. In the end I used to go into one of the labs and plug my laptop directly into the wall--because it wasn't part of the University "Domain" it could punch straight through to the net, and then I could reverse log-in to the University Server. For a Technology Institution things were so antiquated that I'm surprised the main Server wasn't an adaptation of Babbage's Analytical Engine crossed with the few remains of Turing's "Bomb"!

Our surveys work on Mac. When at home, I use an old (bought in 2005) iBook G4 with the latest Firefox brower (3.5.9 fro memory) and I can go through our surveys with no problems.

And just to clarify, only the videos are in Flash. The rest of the survey is still in html.

I saw the picture. I clicked on the bear. I was immediately kicked out saying the number of  people from my background were already reached! I answered no questions, not even which state I was from!

Hi ndfrost,

That's because the survey was full. We usually reach our quota targets on Sundays (as per deadline in our invitation - make sure you read it!). Trying to do the survey on a Tuesday wasn't going to cut it I am afraid.

Partly our fault though - my colleague must not have terminated access to the survey on Monday. You did get 50 Zoints for our mistake.

Thanks for trying again.
