I recieved an email saying to reply to the poll to go in the draw to recieve zoints. I voted in the poll but could not reply to the post. what's going on?
I had the same problem ~ and once again I am relieved that it wasn't just me! Since there was already one reply, I really thought I must have done something wrong.
I have sent an email so with that and this thread, hopefully they will be able to fix it soon.
Hi Guys... are you able to tell me what message you got?

this is crazy ..only last month they cut the size of the fosters bottle ..what next. VB is about taste and strength..now they are watering it down..it will be a girls beer shortly. I drink it because it is full strength. You take out the alcohol and it changes the taste..all those lower alcohol beers taste crap.
Cmon we are australians and they are trying to turn us into pommies with this... as for the lower price ..how long will that last..
And if you keep it there its like VB has to be cheaper to sell... its better than that..or it was
Sheesh - I can't even find where to vote. All I get is the results of the poll. - Bony
Same here, I voted and couldn't reply.
Anyhow i want lower strenght beer i will buy it and leave it as it is.
Yes, same as above, voted but could not respond.
same problem with me
The same as above - whats going on?
Same problem here, this is where I ended up.
i also can't reply
How would anyone know the difference of 0.2% in alcohol content? It sounds to me like a brilliant marketing ploy. They give the impression they are reducing the alcohol content - like, oh how socially responsible are we ... you can drink the same amount and not get as drunk .. clever trick number one.
Clever trick number two is - even though there is a global recession we aren't going to put our prices up. So again - how kind are we to you at this difficult time - you will pay the same for your foaming ale - you lucky punters!
And clever trick the third is that Fosters will save themselves buckets of money, keep the shareholders happy and no doubt the CEO and his minions will keep their highly paid positions.
A win win win!
Personally it doesnt matter to me as only .2 or .3 of a percent will not make much difference. With drink driving being more prevalent it may make a little difference but not much.
There were loads of differences with tastes years ago with beer brewed with a lower alcohol content but lately lower alcohol beers have come out tasting great.
In the end as long as it still tastes great then losing a bit of alcohol will not worry me too much as long it doesnt become an ever increasing trend.
I think that is a brilliant idea, good on you fosters, there are so many pros and not many cons. Fistly, reducing the content of alcohol is cost efficiently for fosters. Consumers don't get drunk easily, therefore we might have less irresponsible adults in our society and less hooligans about. Because the alcholol content is less, consumers can drink the same amount and not go stupid. and if they want to go stupid and get "drunk like a skunk" they have to pay more and get poor, I'm all for the concept. making society a better place to live in.
